About the Job

We at the Control Unit are now looking for a number of case handlers who want to participate in the work with control investigations aimed at stopping suspected benefit fraud and halting incorrect payments. The assignment also includes ensuring that incorrect payments are not made and preventing benefit fraud.

As a pension case handler within the control unit, you will work with authority exercise, investigation, and decision-making in accordance with applicable regulations and processes. You are responsible for effectively investigating, assessing, analyzing, and executing decisions. The work also involves making withdrawal decisions when required, even when they are negative for the customer, and you need to have the ability to stand firm on these decisions. You will also assess whether the authority should file a police report for suspected benefit fraud.

When you work with control investigations, you meet people who may have received compensation from the Pension Authority on incorrect grounds, either knowingly or unknowingly. You conduct checks that contribute to ensuring that the correct compensation is paid out and decide whether recovery claims should be made.

Your team currently consists of two case handlers in Stockholm, and we plan to hire more. You will also collaborate digitally with colleagues in Karlstad, Halmstad, and Växjö, who work with similar tasks.

You will also collaborate with several other authorities such as the Police Authority, the Tax Agency, the Enforcement Authority, the Migration Agency, the Payment Authority, as well as municipalities and health care.

Your Profile

To be considered for the role, you need to have good communication skills and be able to express yourself clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, have an analytical ability that allows you to understand and evaluate complex issues, and make well-founded decisions. Since the work involves handling challenging situations, it is required that you are confident in your role, trustworthy, and willing to make decisions even when they are difficult. At the same time, you are a team player who collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals and contribute to a good work environment.

We are also looking for someone who has:

• relevant academic education
• several years of current experience in authority exercise, investigation, and decision-making
• experience in interpreting and applying regulations
• good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish
• good ability to use the computer as a working tool

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in control work, incorrect payments, and/or recovery
• experience in investigative conversations
• knowledge of the Pension Authority's benefits

Good to Know

The positions are permanent full-time employment and we apply a 6-month probationary period.

The employment may be placed in a security class.

The location is Stockholm.
